Government petition started in UK regarding CRU Climategate

This is for British citizens and expats only. Since George Monbiot called for Dr. Jones to resign, and for the data to be reanalysed, perhaps some UK readers can persuade him to sign.

Here are the details:

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to suspend the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia from preparation of any Government Climate Statistics until the various allegations have been fully investigated by an independent body.

The details of the petition:

The Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia is a “leading centre” for the investigation of “manmade global warming” and government policy relies on the integrity of these statistics. Several claims have been made: that data was “cherry picked” to make the 20th century temperature rise look exceptional in historical terms; emails suggest the unit has colluded in “tricks” to “hide the decline” in a high profile scientific journal, and this unit has colluded in active, secret and highly political campaigning through the website “realclimate”.

The preparation of climate statistics require many judgements: stations move & sites become surrounded by urban sprawl (urban heating) & a judgement must be made of the size of the offset to apply to the global temperature record. The University accepts most emails are genuine so it appears the Unit has been acting in a highly partisan way incompatible with that of a neutral body preparing and interpreting government data. We call on the PM to suspend all further use of the climate research unit until all pertinent allegations have been investigated and any action (if any) has been taken.

[ON A PERSONAL NOTE AND AS A MOTHER... I HAVE BEEN CONCERNED ABOUT THE CONSTANT ASSESSMENT OF OUR CHILDREN BY SCHOOLS .... VERY RECENTLY I WAS SUMMONED INTO MY 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER'S PRIMARY SCHOOL... THE REASON WAS THAT SHE HAD TOLD ONE THE TEACHERS THAT SHE SOMETIMES URINATED HERSELF WHEN PLAYING OUTSIDE...(The reason she does that is becuase whilst playing outside...she will push the limits of her bladder and then try to run to the toilet...and that is when the accident happens...oh, by the way she is also a giggler)....THE TEACHER THEN PROCEEDED TO CALL ME AT HOME ASKING THAT MY DAUGHTER TAKE SPARE CLOTHES INTO SCHOOL..SO THAT THE INCIDENT MAY NOT OCCUR AGAIN.... I THEN ASKED THE TEACHER IN QUESTION...IF MY DAUGHTER HAD URINATED HERSELF IN SCHOOL ON THAT DAY...SHE THEN SAID "NO"...

I THEN CARRIED ON BY ASKING WHAT HAD BROUGHT THIS CONVERSATION ON... IF SHE HAD NOT URINATED HERSELF IN SCHOOL... THIS TEACHER THEN STATED THAT MY DAUGHTER HAD JUST TOLD HER OUT OF THE BLUE.... THIS MADE ME QUITE SUSPICIOUS... ANYWAY ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER MY HUSBAND AND I WERE SUMMONED TO SCHOOL BY THE HEAD, TEACHER IN QUESTION AND SCHOOL NURSE... I HOWEVER WENT IN PREPARED TO QUESTION THEM ALSO.... TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT... THE INTENT OF THAT MEETING WAS TO LABEL MY "CHILD AS VULNERABLE".... WHEN I CONFRONTED THE HEAD ASKING HIM WHY LABEL MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT..HE STARTED CHANGING HIS WORDS BY SAYING THAT IT WAS A "VULNERABILITY" ......I THEN SAID TO HIM THAT IT IS AMAZING THAT HIM BEING A NEW HEAD HAD ASSESSED MY DAUGHTER SO QUICKLY, WHERE THE FORMER HEAD OF THE SCHOOL HAD THOUGHT THAT MY NINE YEAR OLD WAS A LOVELY HAPPY CHILD..AND HE KNEW HER SINCE NURSERY...

IT SEEMED TO ME THAT THEY JUST WANTED TO PICK CERTAIN CHILDREN AND PUT THEM UNDER A BANNER AS IT WERE... I TOLD THE SCHOOL THAT I WOULD BE TAKING THIS ISSUE FURTHER AND THAT I WANTED TO REQUEST A SECOND APPOINTMENT WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF MY OWN.... [THE SCHOOL NEVER CALLED ME TO BOOK THIS APPOINTMENT...INFACT THEY TRY THEIR BEST TO AVOID ME].....

ON A SEPERATE NOTE IN MY LOCAL AREA.. IT IS VERY EVIDENT THAT PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ASSUME SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THEIR CHILD IF THEY ARE BEING "CHILDREN"....A KID IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD THAT USED TO BE QUITE TROUBLESOME..BUT IN A BOYSTROUS WAY...HAS NOW BEEN PUT ON SOME RIDICULOUS TABLETS BECAUSE SOME "QUACK" HAS LABELLED HIM AS HAVING ADHD... HE HAS IN EFFECT BECOME A "ZOMBIE"... I WISH I COULD TELL THE MOTHER TO SEE SOMEONE ABOUT IT...

THE LEAST I CAN DO FOR NOW IS HAVE THIS WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK AND VARIOUS OTHER SITE TO EXPOSE THIS INSANITY THAT IS BEING FORCED DOWN OUR THROATS...BY AN INSTITUTION THAT TOTALLY WANTS TO ERADICATE PARENTS RIGHTS IN ORDER TO FULFILL THE AGENDA OF PHARMACEUTICALS AND CORRUPT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.....

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a non-profit, public benefit organization dedicated to investigating and exposing psychiatric violations of human rights.

It also ensures that criminal acts within the psychiatric industry are reported to the proper authorities and acted upon.

What are Human Rights?

It is your human right to be free from false accusation when you have not committed any crime. Within psychiatry, patients are involuntarily committed, imprisoned, or detained without committing an offence whereby "patients" or prisoners are often forced and subjected to unwanted, brutal and harmful practices against their will, that don't produce cures. This would be a violation of your human rights.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights in the United Kingdom:

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) United Kingdom is one of a number of CCHRs established in 34 different countries all dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Dr. Thomas Szasz, Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, to investigate and expose psychiatric violations of human rights. At that time the victims of psychiatry were a forgotten minority group, often kept in appalling conditions in institutions around the world, and denied the most basic of human rights. Because of this, CCHR formulated a Mental Health Declaration of Human Rights, that serves as its guide for mental health reform. Today, CCHR has more than 135 chapters in 34 countries.
Acknowledged by the special rapporteur to the United Nations Human Rights Commission as responsible for “many great reforms” that protect mental patients from human rights abuses, CCHRs have documented thousands of individual cases. Their work has helped save the lives of thousands and prevented needless suffering for thousands more. Many countries have now mandated informed consent for psychiatric treatment and the right to legal representation, advocacy, recourse and compensation where abuses occur.

CCHR members include prominent psychiatrists, doctors, lawyers, artists, educators, civil and human rights representatives and professionals who see it as their duty to "expose and help abolish any and all physically damaging practices in the field of mental healing". They work to accomplish these clearly stated aims with many like-minded individuals and groups, including politicians, teachers, health professionals, government, law enforcement and the media.
